Enrolment
Getting started
Enrolling with Just Kids FDC starts with a conversation — get in touch and our team will walk you through availability, matching you with an educator, and what’s needed to set up your Child Care Subsidy arrangement. Contact us using the details on our Contact page and we’ll take it from there.
When your child starts care
Communication between you and your educator is one of the most important parts of successful care. As your child develops and their needs change, it’s important to regularly discuss these changes — talk to your educator about your child’s day and their experiences while in care.
Priority of access
Under Child Care Subsidy, there’s no mandatory requirement for filling vacancies. When places are limited, we prioritise:
- A child at risk of serious abuse or neglect
- A child of a single parent who satisfies, or of parents who both satisfy, the work, training or study test
- Any other child
Within these categories, we also give priority to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, families that include a person with disability, families on lower incomes or income support, families from a non-English speaking background, socially isolated families, and single-parent families. A central waiting list is maintained and reviewed annually.
